Attorney Joy Kolodzi joined the Firm in 2019 and counsels clients on estate planning, trust and estate settlement, nursing home Medicaid and all elder law matters.
Joy has over 10 years of experience practicing as an attorney in estate planning and estate administration, with the insight and empathy of someone who has been a caregiver and executrix. Her experience and compassion result in the process being as streamlined and straightforward as possible.
After graduating from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Joy began her career in the pharmaceutical industry where she quickly progressed into various leadership positions. She earned a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Penn State, Master of Science (MS) in
Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins and a Juris Doctor (JD) from Widener University School of Law, while working full-time as a supervisor. Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2008, Joy operated her own law office before joining the Firm.
She is an active member of the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the York County Bar Association, Real Property & Probate and Elder Law Sections of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
Joy achieved various honors throughout her academic career and is a member of the National Biology Honor Society Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta), and an International Business Honor Society for the top 5% of business schools’ highest graduates, Beta Gamma Sigma.
Joy is a Pennsylvania native and currently lives on a small farmette in Southern York County.
