| Robert Clofine
has been practicing law since 1982 and is a nationally recognized specialist
in Elder Law and Estate Law.
In 2000, Mr. Clofine became only the sixth attorney
from the state of Pennsylvania to be certified as an Elder Law Attorney by
the National Elder
Law Foundation, the only organization accredited by the Pennsylvania
Supreme Court to offer a certification in the field. Fewer than 50 attorneys
in Pennsylvania have received this certification.
Clofine has been selected by his peers for inclusion
in The
Best Lawyers in America® in the field of elder law every year since
2008. He has also been named a “Super Lawyer” by the independent Super Lawyer
magazine every year since 2005. The firm was given a first tier rating in
the 2012 inaugural Best Firms survey conducted by U.S. News and Best Lawyers. It was one of
only 11 Pennsylvania firms to receive this recognition in the field of elder

In 2009, Clofine was elected as a Fellow of the
American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. The American
College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) is a nonprofit association of
lawyers established in 1949. Its members are elected to the College by demonstrating
the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence
and experience as trust and estate counselors. All ACTEC members have made
substantial contributions to the field of trusts and estates law through writing,
teaching and bar leadership activities.
In 2010, Clofine became a member of Pennsylvania's Joint State Government Commission
Advisory Committee on Decedents’ Estates Laws. This is a standing group
of attorneys and judges from across the Commonwealth who assist the General
Assembly by recommending improvements to Pennsylvania's laws dealing with
estates, trusts and related matters.
Mr. Clofine is a past Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar
Association. He is also a member of the American Bar Association,
Real Property and Probate Section and the
York County Bar Association, where he is the former Chair
of the Estate Planning and Probate Section. He has been a member of the National Academy of
Elder Law Attorneys since 1991. He is a founding member of the Pennsylvania Association
of Elder Law Attorneys and its current President.
In 2012, he has received the "Excellence in Elder
Law" award from the Elder Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association
and in 2011 he was named as the "Outstanding Chapter Member" by the Pennsylvania Association
of Elder Law Attorneys.
Mr. Clofine is nationally recognized in Elder Law,
and has been interviewed by and quoted extensively in USA Today,
Money Magazine, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Kiplinger’s Retirement Report, The Wall

Mr. Clofine is also a sought after speaker on Estate
and Elder law issues, and has given hundreds of lectures and seminars to legal,
professional and community groups and has been a lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute
for many years.

He is a 1978 cum laude graduate of Villanova
University and a 1982 cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh
School of Law, where he served on the Law Review.
