
ROBERT CLOFINE was
born on May 30, 1956 in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. He is a 1978 cum laude
graduate of Villanova University
and a 1982 cum laude graduate of the University of
Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served on the Law Review. His office
is located at 120 Pine Grove
Commons, York, PA 17403.
In May 2000, Mr. Clofine became the 6th Pennsylvania
attorney to be Certified as an Elder Law
Attorney by the National Elder Law
Foundation (NELF). NELF
is the only organization accredited by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to offer
a certification in elder law. There are still fewer
than a 40 Pennsylvania attorneys
who have received this certification. Mr. Clofine has been quoted and mentioned
by USA Today, Money Magazine, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance,
Kiplinger’s Retirement Report, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg
Personal Wealth Manger, Mutual Fund Magazine, Fortune and Forbes in
articles dealing with estate planning and elder law.

Since 1985, he has been engaged in the private practice of law in York,
Pennsylvania. His practice focuses in the
following areas:
ELDER LAW, including nursing
home asset protection, Medicaid planning, planning for
incapacity, long-term care and other health care matters as well as traditional
estate and tax planning. He has been a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys since
1991.
ESTATE PLANNING, including the
preparation of wills, trust agreements, powers of attorney, health care
declarations, pre-marital agreements, federal estate and gift tax planning and
charitable giving.
ESTATE SETTLEMENT, including
probate and probate avoidance, all matters pertaining to the settlement of
estates, the preparation of Pennsylvania inheritance tax and federal estate and
gift tax returns.
RECENT PROFESSIONAL LECTURES
Attorney Clofine has been a lecturer for the Pennsylvania
Bar Institute. The PBI is the arm of the
Pennsylvania Bar Association that conducts continuing legal education seminars
for lawyers across Pennsylvania.
